» Itineraries » 9-Day Tanzania Safari & Great Migration Adventure
Experience the very best of Tanzania’s legendary Northern Safari Circuit on this 9-Day Tanzania Safari & Great Migration Adventure with Mndeme Safari.
Your journey begins in Arusha before travelling to Tarangire National Park, where giant baobab trees, large elephant herds and classic African landscapes provide an unforgettable introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife.
Continue to Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful and diverse destination beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment, before heading into the world-famous Serengeti National Park.
Three days in the Serengeti allow plenty of time to explore its vast plains, search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes and wildebeest, and—depending on the season—follow the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration.
The safari continues to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, where an extraordinary concentration of wildlife offers excellent opportunities to encounter members of the Big Five.
Travelling in a private 4×4 safari vehicle with your own professional guide gives you the flexibility to enjoy wildlife encounters at your own pace.
The Great Migration location changes throughout the year, so the Serengeti section can be adjusted according to travel dates.
For example:
December–March: Southern Serengeti / Ndutu region
April–May: Central and Western Serengeti
June–July: Western/Northern movement
July–October: Northern Serengeti and Mara River region
November: Herds begin moving south again
